My Testimony:
I was saved when I was 19. It was late in the evening of March 4th so it could have been the wee hours of March 5th, 1981. I went to a closet to pray and I was confronted by demons. I ran to the side of my bed and knelt to pray, but they would not leave me alone. So I got up in the bed and threw the covers over my head in a
sitting position. I prayed, something like this, "God I know Jesus is your Son and He died for me. Please save me from my
sin, and let me live for Him."
I experienced a great sense of peace and heard, "It's okay, you can look now." When I pulled the cover down there was a
sheet of light over my bed. It swirled into a
ball, entered the middle of my chest and covered me from head-to-toe. Then I fell asleep.
The next morning I told the lady I was staying with what happened and she asked
me if I had tested the spirits. I asked what she meant and she told me, "The Bible says satan can come as a spirit of light."
I said, "That may be so, but I was praying at the time, and I have so much love, joy, and peace (something I never knew in my life) that I don't believe satan can imitate this.
Whether this was an actual event or I just imagined it (like some have tried to tell me)
I don't really know, nor do I care, it was very
real to me, and I was changed forever by the power of the blood of Christ and the Holy Spirit's presence in my soul. All the Glory belongs to God for His unspeakable gift of salvation in Christ Jesus!
